Smoky Mountain Field Workshop - April 21-23, 2011 - FULL The workshop begins at 1pm on Thursday, April 21, with an introductory lecture. The afternoon will be spent in the field shooting nature and wildlife. The area we shoot has everything to do with weather and current wildflower conditions. We'll conclude our day shooting sunset from a high vantage point. Friday morning, April 22, we will begin before first light and arrive to shoot the landscape at sunrise. We'll continue to shoot landscapes as well as wildlife and macro subjects like wildflowers until lunch. Following lunch, Paul will present an instructional/ inspirational lecture on photographic techniques at our indoor classroom. After this siesta for lunch and lecture, we'll head back into the field to practice freshly learned photographic techniques. Again, the day will conclude after sunset. Note: This is a long day. On Saturday, April 23, we’ll shoot one final sunrise, and we'll be honing skills in the field until lunch time. Following lunch there will be a group critique where participants will share their strongest images from the weekend and receive constructive feedback. We will conclude around 3pm.
